I am currently improving some shocking wiring for lighting and an extractor fan in my bathroom. (Done 1 year ago by rogue traders!)
There is a 3 core + Earth cable running to the fan. L, Ls and N. The fan is double insulated so earth not needed. My question is 'am I good to simply put the earth in a terminal block, rap in insulation tape and tuck out of the way?
My electrician is coming next week to check that everything is part P ok!

Thanks

Sleeve the earth in green/yellow, and terminate into the terminal block. There is no need for tape, it's a DIY botch.

If that work was done last year it must comply with BS7671 (2008).

In this latest edition of the regs it is a requirement that all circuits in a bathroom must be protected by a 30mA RCD. Is it/are they?

Going back to the fan. Two questions:
Is the earth conductor connected to earth at the supply end?
Where is the fan isolator switch located?
