Recently our dear builder (so called professionals) insisted on placing ugly extractor fans in our Bathroom (althought there is a vented window) and seperate tiolet. They insisted this was for building regs (fair enough) However they only placed the fan in the ceiling and did not connect them to any ducting or outside wall. The result is they expel air into our upstairs niebours flat (Not very pleasant for them) Does anyone know the rules for these types of fans. Also when investigating to run some ducting to them (have to now come in from upstairs as all ceilings have been boarded and plastered) The fans are conected to mains with external switches but do not seemed to be earthed can anyone advice on this.
Any information greatly appriciated
