hi i wonder if anyone can give me some advice.i am planning to lay ceramic tiles on a bathroom floor. Ihave floorboards which has 6mm ply screwed down on it.Firstly is this sufficent, also is there a sheet product that is set on adhesive that allows movement.I have seen a similliar product on a american build show?Could any one help thanks pete

The existing wooden floors should be rigid, if not, then will need more noggins or extra joist.

Exterior grade plywood with screws every approximately 250mm then use flexible adhesive. Ideally the plywood should be butted on the centre of the joists

The sheeting product you're talking about is, if you're just going over the existing floors.

Another one is rip out the old flooring and replace with 18mm exterior plywood which will keep the floor height down but a bigger job.
