Hi,

I'm about to lay vinyl tiles on the floor of my upstairs bathroom.

I was thinking of laying down a sheet of vinyl on the floorboards then a 6mm sheet of ply and the vinyl tiles ontop of the ply. Would this be a good way of doing it?? Also before I lay the tiles do I need to seal the ply wood with anything???

Any advice would be appreciated.

Marine ply straight to the floorboards will be fine, no need for the extra vinyl layer

What thickness marine ply would you use?

Thanks for your advice crazydaze

6mm or 9mm depending on your budget (the thicker the better if possible)
