I have two switches, 1 for the fan and 1 for the light. I realized that there is also a floor plug outside the bathroom that is getting power from this setup too. I figured out which is the hot wire. There is only one.

There is one extra wire and I think it's for the floor plug in the hallway.

I have 3 neutral wires that I have tied together.
Can you try to explain to me how the rest would all go together?

So I have 3 neutrals, 1 fan, 1 light, 1 floor plug and 1 hot wire.

There was a wire that ran between the light switch and the fan switch before and it seems like that would be the Hot wire so they both get power. Does it matter if it goes from the fan to the light or from the light to the fan?

When I put it all together the light only worked when the fan was on. My father in law tried to fix it but in doing so, pulled all the wires apart and I can't figure it out now.

Please help so I can shower with the light on!!

Thanks a bunch!
