I've got a bathroom mirror with LED lights and a 12v transformer, with a oull cord built in. i have a cable run in the wall already, mirror mounted and cable appearing in the attic just not yet wired to anything.

Typically where does a mirror like this get wired to? Does it just wire in to the ceiling rose?

Thanks

It can be, if the ceiling light has a permanent live and neutral. Please note that any electrical circuit in a bathroom now has to be RCD protected.

Thanks for the reply. The house had an extention with a new consumer unit fitted about 6 years ago. I'm not sure whether the lights are RCD protected. How do I check?

The bathroom in question is upstairs. I'm guessing these aren't protected?

The lights are not RCD protected, however this could easily be added by changing the MCB to an RCBO.

Thank for the info guys I'll get an electrician to sort it!
