Bathroom Mirror

I've a shaver socket, 1 feed in and 1 feed out, which I want to replace with led/shaver socket mirror. The shaver socket is on the lighting circuit and the plan was to put a flex outlet in place and wire the flex from the mirror. The issue is with using the current socket location it is behind the mirror and there isn't enough clearance.

My question is, can I just put a wago box in the current back box to connect the three, just leaving the socket open or putting a flat brush plate over and running the flex in? I don't have access to the loft to pull the current wires back up the wall.
