bathroom mixer with shower head flow

is there a any way of getting into these taps to clean out the valve that shuts of/on the shower.We have a prostate probem with it The flow to the hot and cold is good but coming out of the flexi it is poor cant even get a shower Oh and the valve is tuned on by the slider on the shower mixer head
any help please
