Hi;

We are in the process of looking at renewing our bathroom, just had two ridiculous quotes so toying with doing it ourselves. What pushed the quotes up was the cost of products. i.e. £600 for a bath and £300 for a toilet all top quality I am sure but far too much for me to pay.

We have been looking at items on line and the prices just don't compare but I need some advice on good makes / suppliers. I don't want cheap rubbish and would be happy to pay a little more for good quality but don't really know where to look.

Just been looking at betterbathrooms.com, the choice is good and so are the prices, can anyone recommend this site or offer any other online or local suppliers.

What about makes for, toilets, sinks, taps, radiators etc?

For local supplier we have a Wikes, Homebase, B&Q, City Plumbing, Plumbase

To be honest you get what you pay for

The difference between a good bath e.g. carronite and a thin acrylic is colossal

And the difference between a well designed WC pan and a mass produced piece of rubbish is quite often only too obvious when you use it!

Well worth a look (in my opinion)
