Hello, I plan to fit a new bathroom in my house.

I've never bought any bathroom items before, so I'm looking for recommendations of the best places to get them from? There are the usual online places, but can anyone recommend places they've used which they'd happily use again?

Thanks.

As a bathroom fitter I've used most major retailers and unless you go really high end then they are all pretty much the same quality imo. The one thing that most have in common are the extras that they sell such as traps, valves etc... are total garbage. I always purchase decent quality parts locally and stick with brands like mcalpine, flomasta etc..

I would avoid better bathrooms like the plague (or corona virus to be more current) there fittings are awful, they're customer service is terrible. 4 weeks delivery for replacement items was my experience. That doesn't cut it on a 2 week bathroom install.

Victoria plumb have great service, deliver on time and rectify any issues promptly.

I had good experience from the above, noting they are at the cheap end of the market. But agree you need to get fittings elsewhere.

Thanks guys. When I bought my kitchen sink, I ditched the trap etc which came with it and went for McAlpine.

So, Victoria Plumb could be one to look at then. I did wonder about the quality as of course I can't see before I buy.
