Why is the bathroom designed to have a higher temperature than other rooms? is it purely for condensation reasons
cheers
ben maye

Thermal comfort, nothing to do with condensation.

interesting response. As in body temperature getting out of a hot bath and into the cold air?
could you elaborate please?

^ sounds right to me.

If you're body's already warm getting out the bath / shower, a normal room temperature would seem too cold.

any room you donot stay in ie halls, downstairs wc/ toliet, kitchens are should be fitted with radiators that will heat the room to 18 degrees c. livingrooms 22 to 23 degrees c cos you need to be comfortable and you wont be active normally sitting watching the box . the bathroom is the warmest room cos your in your birthday suit getting a wash. bedrooms r again 18 degrees c cos your natural body temperature drops at night, so your bedroom need not be overly warm, plus you will be all snug in under a big duvet thats the basic theroy of working out the room temperatures:)
