I was wondering if it would be possible to add a standard room thermostat
high up on a bathroom wall?
Its to control a heating element in a towel radiator.
there was a discussion on here a few weeks back that asked the same question.. try using the search function to find it.. or look in the "similar topics" below..
the general consensus was that they are not waterproof enough..
There are thermostats designed for under floor heating. These are more likely to take current involved with a towel rail and have sensor remote to main unit so if required the controller can be outside the bathroom but sensor inside.
Towel radiators are deisgned to dry your towels, they aren't powerful enough to warm up a whole room.
In any case, your task is pointless, the element in the radiator has a thermostat in it. This will switch the rad off when the radiator's fluid comes up to temperature. If it didn't the raidator would boil.
