I'm looking to batten and screw plasterboard onto a bare brick wall. Most of the plaster has fallen off as it's over 100 years old end terraced house.

Is the gap behind the plasterboard going to be a problem with condensation ?
If yes, can I avoid this problem by filling the gap with mineral wool insulation or perhaps use vapour control plasterboard( plasterboard with a silver foil backing ) ?

The wall is damp right now as the pointing outside has failed and needs redone.

I need the wall to be ready quick as it is a buy to let property and can't wait the screed to dry out if I render the wall I probably want to avoid dot n dab to avoid the damp penetrating through the plasterboard.
