Good evening, can any one help on how the chimney sections on a Baumatic BTC675SS cookerhood are fitted together so that you can get to the top of the unit and have the inner section fit flush with the ceiling.

http://files.baumatic.com/usermanuals-uk/btc975ss 230210.pdf The instalation instructions are here & seem clear enough. If you are saying that the chimney is too long or short to fit to the ceiling then you will either have to reposition the hood or cut the chimney extension to length.
You fit bracket at ceiling and secure to that, the chimney hangs from the bracket.
