Replacement glass disc for cooker hood light fitting

Hi all,

I have a Baumatic BT9.3GL cooker hood. Unfortunately the glass disc
that sits in one of the halogen light fittings underneath has cracked. Baumatic spares dept have quoted me 24 quid for a replacement.

Anybody have any ideas if I could get something similar from elsewhere? 24 quid for a piece of glass 45mm in diameter seems a bit steep!

Thanks, didn't think that a glazier would cut something so small and precise but I'll check. Also, would I need special glass if it's sitting under a halogen light?

What was the outcome? I am in the same position with a SMEG hood and they want £45 or a whole new light unit.

Sorry, I never got around to looking for a glazier so its still broken. Did you have any luck?
