Hi I have a baxi 100he which cuts out a lot mainly overnight or in the morning while we are asleep as when we wake up its freezing and have to press the reset button which sometimes doesnt work and will keep cutting out but we have found that turning the hot water on when we press the reset it will kick back in again. This genrally seems to happen when it starts getting colder as we never seem to have a problem over summer i know cause it's warmer but even when it's not been used for a few days and we need to put the heating on cause it's a bit cooler it will kick straight in. we had the boiler serviced and checked last year where he cleaned the condensate trap which was clogged up a bit and seemed to work okay after that but now its coming to winter again and the boiler is coming on more regularly we are back to the same problem any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Tim.

your boiler needs serviced every year part of the service includes cleaning the condensate trap, make sure you mention you are having faults to the engineer when you arrange the service

Might be worth getting the meter governor checked/changed as they tend to stick overnight and when not been used for a few days.
