Hi

I have an intermittent faulty hot water sensor flashing light. Basically the DHW works fine but about 3 times a week it stops working & the faulty hot water sensor light flashes so I turn the boiler off for 10 seconds then back on and the light stops flashing and the DHW works fine again for a few days.

The hot water in the shower occasionally goes luck warm then back to hot.

I replaced the hot water sensor about 3 months ago when I descaled the heat exchanger because the shower was going hot/cold/hot cold.

Is this a faulty hot water sensor or something more? Wondering whether it's the PCB as if it was the sensor then surely this would be a permanent fault?

Has anyone come across this issue?

Thanks
Adam

Faulty NTCs can be intermittent and affected by temperature.

I suppose you bought a cheap copy rather than a makers part?

It can also be a connection, wiring loom or the PCB.

Thanks Tony.

I did buy a cheap NTC off ebay so probably best to start with that.

I hope its not the PCB!
