Hi

I have an ongoing problem with my Baxi. When i run the hot water for any length of time I find that the radiators start to heat up. This causes the DHW to be limited in temperature to around 60 degrees. Could this be a sticky diverter?

The DHW diapghram has gone before but did not create this problem. It is a bit obstinate when call for water is finished. A tap with the back end of a screwdriver sorts it. I will strip it out and check it. Any advice on curing the possible sticky diverter? It looks awkward to remove.

It is awkward to remove......but it is possible. If you replace remember to change all the washers etc.....they will leak after otherwise.

My guess is if it is stuck then why......system dirty?? Best to change the hydraulic block i think.

AxelM, There is no need to remove the diverter valve to sort this fault.A service kit is available and all the overhaul can be done after removing the diaphragm housing.

Diverter valve service kit will be available from manufacturers. There will be no instuctions however and I would not attempt this as a diyer.
