Looking at the photo the end of the cold inlet pipe, remove the blank nut

Hmm, I saw this on the video, but he said it was on the later Duotec and Platinum ranges.

that is the venturi completely different part from what is being spoke about in video. you want the filter in the last valve on right hand side (22mm pipe )

Hi again when I drain the boiler down to clean the filter im also thinking of changing the pump as it's a bit noisy. Is it ok to just fit a new pump head ?

yes but have look on ebay you will get legit old style pumps heads quite cheap

Don't forget silicon grease on the pump rubber washer and take the screw out of the automatic air vent

Run the system, with only one radiator at a time open, do that with each radiator. That will force any airlocks, in the pipes, to the radiators, where you can bleed it.

Just about to start changing the pump and was looking around inside the boiler. Should the pin in the picture go flat ? , that's as far down as it goes

That looks ok as it's not touching the micro switch . It will probably drop further when the system is cold
