Pin on CH differential valve (Top) is sticking. On demand pin raises and all is well. However when demand stops pin does not retract enough to disengage the micro switch causing an error 60. Pin can be eased down manually which removes error and all fires up. Question ? Does this sound like the diaphragm split or do I need to look at a new diverter manifold complete.?

Thanks J

Could be dirt in the valve theres a service kit available for them it probably needs stripping and cleaning its not to bad a job if you have good access. If dirt is a factor you should clean the system hope this helps Paul

A boiler is needed. Do not say the boiler was serviced recently. If it was, you would not be having this problem

MR CRS is there an online outlet for the service kit as local plumb merchants want to sell me a new 3 way..

If its pushing out strongly then the diaphragm must be OK.

Usually they can be cleaned and the pin lubed with silicone grease.

Sometimes there can be a blockage in the drillings.

Carelessness can damage the diaphragm.

Freddy, a gas appliance should be serviced annually. During this service the area that is giving you grief, would have been serviced so would be moving freely. Some services are essentially an operational check and therefore cannot be classed as a service but a 'safety' check. A service is what the manual details in service section.

There is a good chance what is needed is a service not a part change.
