Early hours of Wednesday Morning I woke up to the radiator in my bedroom making a what I can only describe as a motor sound, I was half asleep and ignored it and went back to sleep. Yesterday, well Last night I realised my heating wasn't coming on. I noticed then none of the lights where on on my boiler underneath the fire. Next to the fireplace I have a fuse box for the fire so I changed the fuse and it started working fine. The boiler was heating the hot water but then I noticed none of my radiators are getting hot. I have tried everything I can think of today, to get them working. I've bled all the rads again too.

It is an old style Baxi back boiler inset 2 and In the kitchen on the wall I have a very old timer, to turn the water and central heating on. Underneath the timer I have a switch for the central heating which I leave switched on.

Does anyone have any idea's what this could be as I need to fix it before it snows tomorrow? And if you do could you please give me an idiots guide?

Thanks

Steph

It sounds as if the pump has failed.
