hi i am looking for opinions on the new baxi he back boilers , the only down side i can see are the elec fires although it will look better than the eighties thing i have now !! the reason i am considering this as a replacement to my current back boiler is that i have solar panels that need the tank and a combi seems to have alot of downsides when fitted with solar
also i heard from someone it may be possible to fit a free standing log burner in front instead of the electric fire can any one illuminate me on this ,many thanks in advance

The flue liner is plastic....log burner not a chance.

I have seen the unit and had training on it. Its just at 90% efficiency so meets band a requirements. As for reliability i can'y comment. Too early to tell

How about a decent system boiler so you can keep your cylinder?
The bbu he is not available yet for the domestic market, and even if it were, would you be keen on installing something that may have all sorts of teething problems? And probably is going to be expensive in the bargain.

Probably as in: Broag bought them up, and may use the brand as their budget line.
