I have a problem that when I switch my heating/hot water on my boiler fires up for around about a minute and cuts out just after hearing a noise similar to a hot car exhaust after a long journey. I then turn the heating/hot water on and off again at the controls but the boiler doesn't fire up again although the pilot light is lit. After a period of time I try again and it fires up but only lasting a very short while similar to above.

Please HELP!!!

It's overheating.
Dead pump?- unscrew big scrwe on end and insert small tool to feel rotation.
Run out of water in system? CHeck f & E tank (small one oin loft) has water in it. Bleed rads, look for bleed point near HW cylinder too.

It only fires for about a minute , so not "too high". Faults possible all over I guess, but common problems have common causes, usually!

I think it is the pump as can't here it make the noise it used to make. I'm going to order one today.

Again many thanks

Steven
