BAXI BERMUDA

Had identical problem two months ago on a baxi back boiler, I replaced the worn pilot injector, problem solved.

I haven't read all the suggestions but has anyone mentioned if the boiler stat is not functioning correctly the boiler begins to overheat and the overheat stat will knock out the pilot light

hey guys, thanks for all of your advice, so i refused to have the valve fitted and the guy suggested trying a larger pilot flame but didnt think that would do anything, hey presto its now working, whether thats just a coincidence or not i dont know, maybe the cleaning out or replacing the thermocouple worked, but now i've got a leaky roof and a crumbling ceileng so i guess theres no rest for the wicked, ;) but hey at least im warm now!! Thanx to scooby and expert gasman, found your advice very helpful, if it wasnt for all your tips i would have had a new valve, new thermostat and possibly a new boiler so thanks so much!!!

Jimhet, the vast majority of baxi BBUs have no overheat stat. These were only fitted to units on a sealed system.

Sarah, thanks for update, I think most of us appreciate it when a "customer" takes the time to report on a reult, satisfactory or otherwise.

And well done for managing your plumber.
