Baxi boiler and compatible programable thermostats

Hello

I have a Baxi boiler with a Honeywell ST9400c programable thermostat which no longer works consistently. I have done some research and it seems like these are renowned for failing. I wondered if anyone can tell me whether a programable thermostat from another manufacturer would be compatible with a Baxi?

Any advice would be really appreciated. I don't want to fork out money on another Honeywell that is likely to fail in the future.

The ST9400c is a two wire stat, Any two wire stat will do the job as a replacement.

There was a bad batch, they're generally very reliable, replace it with another ST9400C and you should be fine
