Hi

My heating has gone off over the weekend.

I have a Baxi boiler, unfortunately don't know the model or have installation manual as it was already installed when I moved in.

When I turn the boiler off the power light stays flashing.

Just wondered if anyone had any idea why it is doing this and if this is what is causing the heating to be off.

Hot water seems to be ok.

Would be grateful for any advice. Thanks

Steve

Could really do with some more info than just the manufacturer.... is it a combi, system boiler etc etc....
Is there nothing on it to indicate a model?

Thanks for replying Dave.

Just had a look, I've found a users operating instructions sticker which says it is a Baxi Barcelona. Does that help?

Also to add to my previous message that the boiler does come on, it tries to ignite the main burner, the second light comes on for a couple of seconds and then goes out.

Hope that makes sense.

A lot of faults with this boiler, get yourself a gas engineer and leave it alone.

I know this is a stupid question is it gonna cost me a fortune? What prices should I expect to pay? Can anyone recommend a good engineer in South East London/Kent? Cheers.

All replies are much appreciated. As you may have gathered I haven't a clue what you're all talking about.

I moved to this house a year ago and its the first time I've lived in a house with a gas boiler. Reading through some of the stuff on this site i'm learning a little.

Tomorrow I'm going to check the pressure readings (can't do tonight as children asleep in bedroom where they are situated).

Obviously whatever the problem is I realise its not something fixable by myself.

BaxiPot you say it could be the diverter or zone valve :?: I presume you still need a gas engineer to fix that.

Do people recommend that you get a fixed price quote to get the work done or a pay as you go type thing?

Yes HEATEAM fixed charge will have your boiler running like new. 8)
