i was having a shower the boiler suddenly stop working. i have a look at it all the red service lights was on. i turn the heating on the boiler was no fire up. i reset it. it fire up it on only for 10 second it turn back off. I thought it may be over heating. i turn it off for for 1 hour. I turn it back on. At the time when I turn it back on it was 3 service light was on and quickly all 5 of them light up and the boiler turn off again. The pump and the fan were running OK. Do you think is it the temperature sensor. The boiler pressure gauge is on 1 ½ it not increase then 1½ I will be much appreciate if you could help this.

I think that a sensor fault is indicated by a single light flashing.

It might be a PCB fault but without seeing it and checking it properly I would not want to make any guesses.

I agree that that sequence of red lights would usually indicate a seriously blocked plate.

However that is a progressive situation.

In this case the OP said it happened suddenly in the middle of a shower!

He then says he turned the heating on and saw that sequence! Of course that could have been the effect of a blocked return filter.

Perhaps its all sludged up and both the plate and the return filter are both blocked.

Perhaps he was oblivious to the early warning signs?
