Hi

I have a Baxi Combi 105e boiler at home. Recently, it has started taking ages for the hot water to come out of the taps. I have looked at the front panel of the boiler and some Alarm LEDs are on. These include:
1. Flame Failure
2. Safety Thermostat on
3. Fault on Fan or Flue
4. Fault on Pump or Low System Pressure
5. Fault on Hot Water Sensor

I do not know much about boilers (well, you can call me a pen-pusher), I have arranged for a technician to service the boiler. But I am a little concerned about a couple of things:
1. Is it safe to use the boiler (for hot water and central heating) in the mean-while?
2. What could be the probable cause and how much should it cost?

Can anyone help please!

Kind Regards
Ramish

Ramish the red lights are probably referring to the temperature rather than a fault status, chances are it needs the diaphragm replaced, nice and simple.

Ollski, thanks for your reply.

I have got an appointment with a technician on Friday.

Can you please advise if it is safe to use the boiler (i.e. central heating and hot water) in the mean-while?

Kind Regards
Raheel

Yes it's perfectly safe to use.
Do you change your name every 7 hours?!

I had the exact same ,,,guy phoned me 1 hour after i left install to tell me every single bit of his boiler was broken but for some strange reason it was all heating up ok..

:) - My orignal name is very long and difficult to pronounce (even for my family members :)

Many thanks for your feedback. In fact I have just had a big "D'oh!" moment. You are absolutely right about the neons. I have just managed to download a manual for the boiler and it says, "When neons are constantly illuminated, the indicate the temprature of the central heating water".

Thanks again,
Ramish
