hi
Basicaly came back of hols tonight (sat here freezing), house alarm had gone off, elec tripped out, came in found boiler wouldn't come on after resetting electric, bolier had been left on (central heating only) whilst away with water under sink turned off. 3amp fused spur in airing cupboard had blown, small glass fuse in panel had blown and after investigating found what looks like heat exchanger at the top ( primary) is dumping it's water, tried pressure the boiler a bit and it looks like its leaking on both joints ( to the primary he), when i changed the fuses including small glass one on panel boiler powered up, could hear fan, could hear ignitor trying and then the fan light flashes, have just noticed the section half way up (below the burner) has filled up with water again and you can see the trickel evidence down both the pipes i mentioned before. Here's hoping but is there hope in doing something with joints ? any help appreciated
neil :(

now looks like it will light (prob dried out a bit), could the heat exchanger be leaking at the 2 pipes as it looks like it has or would this not of been able to happen meaning it's the heat exchanger itself ? (boiler 9 yrs old next feb)
cheers
