hi all,i hope someone can help,i have a baxi main combi boiler fitted sept 07,the central heating is not coming on but the water is fine, ive checked the thermostat on my wall and changed batterys and its sending a signal, but the reciever on the wall has a cover when taken off there is a on/off swith which is in on position and two leds red/green,but neither of these are lit, does this sound like a major problem or something that could be rectified pretty easily, thanks everyone

sounds like a drayton thermostat, the green light should come on when there's a demand. if you have the instructions for it then you can re-commission it, or if not you can find the instructions on their website I believe.

cheers micky, ive just rang the wife from work and she says its a salus rt 300rf control with reciever near boiler, ive looked on ther eweb site and it says about checking the jumpers are set right for the radio frequency

the reciever has a red/green led on it but none of these are lit, does anybody know if they should be and if yes would this suggest theres no power to the reciever box ??

cheers

hi there

your receiver beside boiler has to have a red light on

this means it has power going to it, either fed from boiler or seperate source.

you must check there is 240 v at live on receiver.

if there is 240v @ receiver and it does not light red led it is goosed

but check where it is getting its source from first

the green led is telling you its has received communication from the stat
