Baxi Megaflo 32 System boyler loses pressure (water) in the condensate discharge pipe

Hi,

So I tested the boyler like this:
- pressurised the system to 1.5bar and closed the valves from right underneath on the main and return.
- turned off the boyler and put the condensate discharge pipe in a bucket

Sure enough the pipe drips slowly with the boyler off and the system pressure drops slowly.
When running normaly the pressure drops below 0.5bar in 1-2 days.

Does this mean that the heat exchanger is cracked and need replacing or maybe it's possible that some o-ring is faulty? Anybody who had the same problem and fixed it please give me some hints on how to troubleshoot this further.

Yes, sounds very much like a failed heat exchanger. Very expensive items - well worth considering getting a complete new boiler

Try and get a Baxi fixed price repair , will be half the price of buying a new heat exchanger
