The actual cost price to Baxi is a fraction of what the fitter was charged so Yes you have been royally ripped off..... We all have been ripped off by manufacturers.... So is Matt Halfwrite gonna follow Mr Baxi round on his motorbike and accost him in the street?
You are right, however as they don't make enough on boilers, spares for some are their only profit. What I can't understand is why they don't make other cuts eg. external sales force. They must cost a fortune and the way everyone buys today means they contribute next to nothing in terms of orders.

Yea I do watch cowboy builders etc and you'll find that those included in the programes are about 2% of tradesmen that behave like that most of us would like to make an honest living and would love to earn enough to have a holiday home[/quote]
