Hi,
I am not a plumber, so would like some advice please I have a 87yr old neighbour
who was ripped off something terrible about four years ago for a large some of money.
the problem is the firm went bankrupt soon after, from then on she was having trouble
trying to get it to run properly we put it down to the room stat so I bought one off Ebay
the same mod Danfos tp5 and asked a person to fit it for her as when I give somebody a
coffee they get it shaken and stirred well I ended up having to do it myself and when I
removed it from, the wall surprise surprise they had even ripped her off on that there
was no wiring to it, so now I am looking at thermostat sensor and the overheat
thermostat as when you start the boiler up all red lights are on but when it shuts down
it will not start up again and the only light showing is over heat sensor. I see these
sensors on Ebay but would like to make sure I get the correct ones I would be much
obliged for your advice.
Cheers
Tippo.

You need to call in a professional repair man to correctly assess the situation. It would be wrong to encourage you to repair this system as it sounds like work on the boiler is required, and you are not competent to do so. Really not been working for 4 years?

Hi 45yearsagasman,
Could you please tell me if it is allowed to use
malleable copper with household gas.

cheers

Hi Dan,
This has nothing to do with the elder neighbour, that has been
sorted by British gas, this is on my own property and as I said
about my neighbour I had no intention of touching it as I have
no intention of tackling this job of having some lead pipe to my
gas fire replaced I'm trying to work out the least damage to
accomplish this.
Dan its no good me coming on this Forum and asking for advice
if I don't respect other tradesmen.

Cheers with Respect ,

Tippo.

It is no good resurrecting an old thread to ask advice on something totally unrelated with no context and on something directly contrary to the forum rules.

Sorry,
But at 82yrs I'm not to conversant with the ways of computers and the
workings of the forums so I will sign off as soon as I find how to do it.
And thanks.
A Merry Christmas
And a Happy New year to all

Cheers

Tippo.
