I have the Baxi Solo 40rs boiler and am having a few problems: The pilot is hard to light and when alight the flames do not turn up high. So the water hardly warms up, and the radiator don't warm up. what could be wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Check the basic first .
That the main tap at meter has not been partly turned off.

Have checked the gas is fully on. Had a corgi reg guy come round tonight and he said it could be the gas valve or a thermostat. Does this sound correct?

Why a CORGI?

If he unsure on such a basic boiler, Id bin him off and get a GASsafe engineer who can repair it.

How can you work out if its the gas valve or the thermostat?

Best way is to study at college for about 5 years... Oh sorry. Yep better leave that to an RGI.

I'd be a little concerned if yer man is coming up with such wildly differing possibilities though

5 years  A lot on here are lucky if they done 6 months ,
How long did you do Rojaca.
Before you answer check what you have said before
