Our bay window pillar is cracking. Its one that is next to the wall. Not sure if its stone or concrete.
Does anyone know where I can get a new bay window pillar and are they easy to fit. Or has anyone tried to cast one them self.

Thanks

Sledgehammer and nut comes to mind

Why does this need replacing, can't you just seal or repair it if need be?

It needs a replacement, any suggestions please.

Thank you

Have you tried your local Builders yard & stone merchants?
I doubt B&Q do them :D

The correct terminology for what you require is a stone mullion try searching the net you may find one in a architectural salvage yard, failing that I believe castle stone products produce to order.

the original one will usually have pins at the top and bottom to secure it into place heavy work replacing though.

Will the top stones have to come off as well then?

Thank you

sorry for the delay in the reply but not been on here too much lately been very busy.

you should be able to support the top one then cut out the mullion with out removing the top section.

Do you know if there may be any ties to the wall at all.

Thanks for getting back to me
