Bay Window Roof

My lounge bay window roof looks like some kind of lead. The black paint is pealing off and I want to repaint it. No leaks so I assume the lead is still ok.

How do I get the flaking paint off and what product do I need to repaint it please?

I wonder if you really need to use lead free paint?

Any metal paint will do - especially hammerite

Remove flakey paint as you would normally - wire brush, scraper etc
