BBC Persia would definitely not want to wind up Iran, and lets's not forget the UK is one of the very few Wester powers not to have proscribed the IRGC.
It's not a good look for either the BBC or the UK.
 
During the Falklands caper news got back to the UK quicker during the Crimean war than the Falklands

All credit to the UK they screwed the lid down tight as a ducks on reporting and journalists

My brother in law was a journalist for the press agency at the time and had to get clearance before releasing news, they were also asked not to report on certain aspects and they respected this.
He told me later one of the things they never published was the number of British troops killed by friendly fire.
