Is there a way to do it? Mine will only play Podcasts, of which there are now few.

On everything else it says it needs a Flash player, but there does not seem to be one for Android.

You need the new BBC Media player, especially if using the latest flavours of android.

I've again tried the new BBC Media Player, it doesn't work on my phone. The BBC Blogs are full of people complaining about it not working on Android, and BBC reps first saying they have delivered it, then that they know it doesn't work and hope to fix it sometime soon.

iPlayer also doesn't work, the Flash is not supported and has been withdawn.

Maybe you got Flash before it was withdrawn

Just installed it on my Nexus 7 running Jelly Bean. That definitely doesn't have Flash.
Works fine on that too.

it works on certain phones, subject to model of CPU and version of Android.
