They will roll it out and give houses out to those in “need”

As mentioned previously, Labour and the conservatives agree it’s a good idea….
 
There is a possibility of a swap deal. Small boat migrants will be returned to France and in exchange we will take asylum seekers in France who wish to join family members in the UK who already have legal status.

Let me hazard a guess, the UK’s current and previous governments have fooked up housing stock, so now the easy route is to take stock from landlords.

If you are searching for excuses to attack them, perhaps you should get a copy of their document.
