I just think it’s immoral and borderline theft.
Another reason for private landlords to sell up and black rock can buy even more of the uk, then lease it back to the government, who will pay for people from all over the world to live in a nice house.

They won’t be extending the time period, so it will obviously be less than 2 years “which is immoral” as it is.
Soon enough the council will hand over details of empty houses and start to threaten landlords.
Then black rock, Lloyds etc will pick up the houses as they come up for sale.

Making up what you think the legislation will say. You have no idea what exemptions there may, or may not, be.
They don't do that with the current two year time frame, why do you think it will suddenly change with a shorter time frame?
Councils don't have the money to take on 250,000 long term empty properties, stop panicking.
