bedroom damp

Hi can someone help
I live in a traditional 1930's semi
When it rains heavy the small bedroom inside wall gets damp. I have looked in the attic and i can't see a leak in the roof. One of the chimney flues is blocked off,could this be a problem with ventilation. What is my best line of approach?

The flue should be vented both on the top and bottom.

Is the damp near the chimney breast, as said check the flue is vented, check all pointing and any lead work.
