Well I can give you a mini update so far... the landing will be carpeted, so I've used the already cut boards to replace holes in the bedroom, that's what I was doing last night... So if the pictures load you can see the two boards together, the two side by side with one cut on the diagonal, the board by the door which was rotated and refitted. The last picture is tomorrow's first job - cutting the 'salvaged' boards to fit where there was a lump of chipboard covering what I think was a (well removed) hearth.
