Bedroom Laminate Underlay

12mm laminate being fitted in the bedroom over floorboards. What underlay, if that’s the right term, do you suggest. Looking at UK flooring direct.

I have used the gold one they sell worked ok for me but in my case it was ground floor over concrete. The concrete was a bit rough and it helped to smooth out and insulate to some degree, I felt it also muted the sound in the room when walking.

1st floor laminate tends to drum even with the thicker underlay.
