I have an extension on my house with its own small sloping roof. Before winter i noticed a lot of bees going in and out of an air brick, and believe they must have made a hive in the roofspace. Im fairly sure they are honey bees.
Nb. There is no easy way to access the roofspace, without removing all the roof tiles etc.. or knocking through bricks.

a) should i worry about this - can i just leave it or could they cause damage to the roof. Will the bees leave in spring or will they keep coming back to the same nest?
b) if i need to remove them, what is is the best way (that isnt very expensive or involve removing the roof)?

An option i was considering was to put a mesh over the airbrick, however if do this now (Feb) i am worried the bees/hive inside will die and potentially cause a mess or other pests/problems.
Thanks
