Hi

This is my Daughters inherited dryer. Apparently wasn't great at drying from newish. Had a look last weekend but she lives a distance away so want to be prepared next time.

There was quite a bit off fluff inside the sensor, cleared this and checked the front stat, & combined 2 element heater and 2 x stats. It did blow some heat but not great afterwards.

Front stat cold read about 32K, which I'm guessing is dead. Both elements gave a reasonable reading, so think these are OK, one stat read closed, no resistance, but the other was 28K. There are no resets on any of the stats. So guessing these are the one shot TOC types. The elements again I'm guessing are two stage, one for normal dry and both switched in for quicker dry. I'f I'm correct then because the heater is a combined unit with the 2 stats this and the front stat need replacing. Didn't check volatge, but if blowing some air indicates problem isn't with the PCB.

Just wanted to check before I go and buy parts.BTW googling shows lots of people with this machine and non drying, and both the element and front stat seems to be available from plenty of places. This seems to suggest I have both problems.

Thanks

Paul
