I need to replace my crappy B & Q bench drill as it is on its last legs.

Does anyone have recommendations around £50 pls?

I have seen the Aldi one which is about £40 but I am unsure even though there is a 3 yr guarantee. Has anyone tried this Aldi one?

Northern tools ones are pretty good for the money. Around £65 for a 9 speed one

Look on ebay for a, Fobco or Progress bench drill these are quality drills, far better than the rubbish produced today.

With a 3 year guarantee, how can you go wrong.
Its power and quality will not be high, but for £13.33 a year !!!

I, as most on here, usually go for quality. But about 4 years ago I bought an SDS drill from Aldi, could not resist the price....£29.99.......

It included rotastop, came with a chuck/sds drills/chisels and grease.
Its still going strong.
The SDS drill bits I have since purchased, have cost me more than the drill.

all the cheap ones seem to be the same, just different names stuck on them but there more then up to the job of diy,but why not kill 2 birds with 1 stone and buy a morticer which comes with a chuck ;) ;)
