im going to make a join using speedfit pipe, what i was wonder is it ok to bend the pipe to shape over my knee,

i only need the pipe to be the shape of half a circle, well its more like a large 90 bend if u get my drift,

i have bent it like this, and i get the shape i require,my concern is will the pipe want to go back to its orgianl shape(straight)and cause stress on the speedfit connections

DOn't leave the grey pipe with a bend in tension. When it gets hot water in it it'll kink. The speedfit Pex (white) stuff doesn't do that.
Joints with sideways stresses leak too.
Use extra fittings - compression are cheapest.

bend it and clip it dont jg do the formers for bends hepworth do

Speedfit pipe wouldnt know the difference if a hepworth former was holding it in place or not.
Just as easy to stick an elbow in.
You could be miserly and make one out of bits of wood

How 'tight', pardon the pun, do you want this bend to be ?

my concern is will the pipe want to go back to its orgianl shape(straight)and cause stress on the speedfit connections
 Thats why they sell inserts!! .... to stop the pipe going out of shape in the fitting under stress and causing leaks.

Speedfit is PEX pipe, Hepworth is PB pipe (softer). They don't bend the same. Not sure if the Hepworth former would cause a problem for PEX but it could.
