Hi,
I have an oil burner that starts up normally but will cut out 2 hours later. I press the reset button on the control box and it clicks and red light goes out but then light comes back on 10 seconds later. I switch the controls off till next day and when i put heating on it will come on for two hours again and it repeats its cycle. I would be grateful if someone could give me some advice on this please. Only new to this site.

Thanks.

Thanks Terry I'll try it when I get home
What should be a good reading on the solenoid?

About 2k across the parallel spades.
It will be O/c under fault conditions if faulty.

Hi Terry,
Checked the solenoid and it's 220volt. It works fine as I removed it from the pump and it hums and also i inserted a screw driver into it and it became magnetised and the screw driver stuck to it also drained some of the fuel to see if water was in the oil tank but that was ok . Any ideas would be appreciated
Thanks

Does it lock out "Mid burn" or when restarting ??

As Bob suggests... it could be the EBI ign TXFR.
