Best 4" roller for gloss

Hello guys,

Cut a long story short I've had a lot of tried and tested mess ups whilst restoring the front door, window and frame from a 1887 place.

I used dulux trade red on the front door, first coat with a 4" short pile roller, finish is excellent apart from little bits of flick all over it. Is there a premium roller on the market that won't loose any flick for the absolute finish?

I gave the roller a brush out before use to avoid such happening.

There's no benefit on a front door. Just thin your paint 5% and use a good brush.

Why would it differ from other front doors?
