BEST ADHESIVE FOR NEWEL POST

Well, the OP is a DIYER, so it won't be perfect joints.
Just because the OP is as you say a DIYer, he/she is not necessarily going to be less that precise with their jointing tolerances.
For all any of us in the forum know, they could well be a perfectionist where only the best will do.

That's a bit arrogant, well done, you're reputation is maintained.
YOUR, not you're.
Your reputation of illiterate is once again maintained.
I'm supposed to be replying to seasoned chippies, do I have to explain why PU glue is the wrong adhesive for this application?
Maybe they're not chippies at all.
The op got good advice within a few posts, there was no need to start an opinion war based on pure speculation that the joint won't be perfect.
I have seen joint with PU glue made by diyers and the results are nothing short than "scrap the lot and start again".

I sometimes think that PU glue is a bit like Marmite - some people love it, some people hate it. Personally, I don't use it much, instead preferring Everbuild D4 (the white PVA-like stuff), but I do still use it. As there is a difference of opinion, maybe explaining your point of view for the benefit of the OP would have been in order

The comment about other people not being chippies because they weren't in total agreement with you was maybe a bit below the belt wouldn't you say?

I explained why PU glue is not suitable for this job.
